General Motors (Thailand) becomes 1 of 2 automobile companies to be rewarded “Industry Award” for Environmental Quality Maintenance in 2018.
General Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., GM Chevrolet’s standard manufacturing center and automobile exports under the brand of Chev and Holden is rewarded the Industry Award from the Ministry of Industry.
The Center is rewarded the Industry Award for Environmental Quality Maintenance in 2018. Mr. Amnat Saengchan, Vice President of Manufacturing of General Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., was the representative to receive the award from General Prayut Chan-ocha, Prime Minister.
Mr. Amnat Saengchan, Vice President of Manufacturing of General Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., disclosed the feeling of receiving such award that he is very pleased and proud that GM Thailand is rewarded the Industry Award for Environmental Quality Maintenance.
This award demonstrates GM’s commitment to environmental conservation. GM Thailand Manufacturing Center in Rayong Province is a regional hub for automobiles and engines manufacturing that has received many awards, especially in the environment, energy and safety management.
“Industry Award organized by the Ministry of Industry and GM Thailand is 1 of 4 establishments in Thailand that have been rewarded and is 1 of 2 automobile companies that have been rewarded the Industry Award in 2018,” said Mr. Amnat.
GM Thailand Manufacturing Center in Rayong Province is the center for the manufacturing of GM automobiles sold in Thailand, like Chevrolet, and also exports automobiles under the brand of Chev and Holden, which had received environmental awards in 2014.
In addition, it is rewarded the Energy and Safety Award and received the ISO 50001 Industry Standard which demonstrates GM’s commitment to industry standards in all aspects while maintaining the environment together.
While Mr. Ian Nichols, GM Southeast Asia’s President, met with Chevrolet Thailand distributors at a nationwide distributor meeting to plan the direction of this year, regarding the commitment and collaboration as a team resulting in successful business operations with sales increasing nearly 10 percent in the past year compared to the same period of the previous year.
However, Chevrolet plans to launch a new model automobile in 2019 to continue its business growth in Thailand, and wants to offer more world-class Chevrolet automobiles to customers. Chev continues to focus on providing the best customer experience by increasing the after-sales service and service of Chevrolet to cover all provinces of Thailand through the network expansion of new standard service centers “2S” and “3S”.
In addition, at the meeting, there was an award ceremony for the Best Performing Distributor 2018 and the Grand Master 2019, in order to praise distributors who have excellent performance in various categories for 18 awards and there are 5 Chevrolet distributors who have received the Grand Master, which is the highest honor award. This award is given to praise distributors who are committed to excellence in automobiles sales, customer service, and after-sales service.
