Transcend Introduces a New Line-up of Industrial Grade SSDs Based on 96-layer BiCS4 3D NAND

          Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading manufacturer of industrial-grade flash and DRAM products, is proud to announce a line-up of industrial grade SSDs based on the 96-layer BiCS4 3D NAND flash technology. Bit-Cost Scalable Generation 4 (BiCS4) uses a 96-layer 3D stacked-cell structure to create high performing solid-state memory dies for storage products. Compared to 3D NAND at 64 layers, this density breakthrough greatly improves storage efficiency. The new generation SSD lineup is offered in various form factors: MTE652T (PCIe M.2 2280), SSD452K (SATA III 2.5-inch), MTS952T (SATA III M .2 2280) and MTS552T (SATA III M.2 2242) to accommodate multiple platforms on the market. Built with DRAM cache for fast access, the new line of industrial SSDs is fully tested in-house to guarantee reliability in mission-critical applications, boasting an endurance rating of 3K Program/Erase cycles.

              Made of top-tier 3D NAND and featuring enhanced endurance as well as exceptional thermal tolerance, this latest line-up comprises SSDs in the 2.5″ SATA III, PCIe M.2, and SATA III M.2 form factors. Rated to endure 3K P/E (Program/Erase) cycles, and engineered to withstand extreme operating temperatures from -40°C to 85°C, these SSDs are made to reliably operate in extreme operating environments for an extended period of time.

              Within the new line-up, the MTE652T M.2 2280 SSD meets NVMe 1.3 standards and utilize the PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, meaning four lanes are used for transmitting and receiving data simultaneously. The result is compelling performance of up to 1,700 MB/s read and 1,600 MB/s write. Low power consumption and excellent reliability are also hallmarks of this construction, ensuring long-term dependability.
