Mr. Pasit Leesakul, Chief Executive Officer of TRC Construction Public Company Limited or TRC, the construction business operator in the pipeline system, engineering system installation, and plant construction in the energy and petrochemical industry, is revealed that in the second half of 2017, Sahakarn Wisavakorn Co., Ltd., an affiliated company, has won 2 new projects with the worth of 63.2 Million Baht, namely, the construction of the water distribution station of the Provincial Waterworks Authority in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and crude oil distribution pipeline from Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited.
In addition, 4 projects of north and south railway tender offer are being submitted, which is a co-operation between Sahakarn Wisavakorn and the alliance, and the Company is participated in the auction of big projects from PTT, namely, the 2nd phase of the 5th natural gas pipeline project which the cost estimate is about 9,175 Million Baht. The Company cooperated with foreign alliances to participate in this auction, which the results are expected in early 2018.
Chief Executive Officer more disclosed that Sahakarn Wisavakorn has signed 2 new contracts with the worth of more than 1.5 Billion Baht: road improvement project and expansion of the water supply system. The backlog of the Group is touching 8 Billion Baht.
In the first half of the year, the Company received 2 Letter of Awards: BV4.19 PIG Launcher and Receiver Installation Project from PTT with the worth of 229,277,548 Baht which is a design, purchase, construction and testing of pig launcher and hot tap installation system at Gas Station 4.19, 4th Gas Pipeline Project and pig receiver installation at Wang Noi Block Valve Station, Saraburi Province, and process plant improvement project: RDCC Catalyst Cooler Project Part 2 from IRPC Public Company Limited with the worth of 492 Million Baht.
“The new work is valued at 3.4 Billion Baht including early works for potash mining construction (on ground) in the supply of long lead equipment from ASEAN Potash Chaiyaphum Co., Ltd. or APOT, expansion of Kalapapruek Road from Bangkok, pipeline system of NGV Station in Nam Phong, and revamp LPG from PTT,” Mr. Pasit said.
The Company continues to invest in other businesses to generate lasting long-term income according to the long-term goal, both domestic and international projects. It will take time to study the feasibility and action for appropriateness and maximum return to the Company and shareholders. Currently, the Company has invested in 2 projects. It is an investment in APOT shares and the latest investment is the establishment of a new affiliated company, TRC Utility Co., Ltd., to carry out the water concession project of Ta Sit Sub-district Administrative Organization, Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province, which is considered a pilot project in Build-Own-Operate investment.
